Oyster cut, put simply means only part of the bone is left in the whole thigh. This cut of the meat does not include the backbone, which is what differentiates it from our Free Range Whole Chicken Thighs. Why they’re called Oyster cut thighs remains a mystery for us. Many say because they are oyster shaped and this is where the name orignated.
All our Free Range and Organic Chickens are premium and high welfare. We hand rear them on our farm where they have the best animal husbandary from our experienced stock men. Alongside this our birds have a happy outdoors. Where they have dawn to dusk access to our Herefordshire fields where they are free to roam, graze and forage.
We pack all our Free Range oyster cut thighs with approximately 4 per pack.This number of items supplied is a guideline. A minimum weight is always guaranteed. Take the Chicken out of the fridge and allow the product to come up to temperature for 15 minutes
Season the chicken to taste with salt and black pepper.
Marinade the thighs with honey, mustard, garlic and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Preheat the oven to 200c/ Gas 6. Pop the thighs in the oven for 45 minutes, turning regularly to ensure the thighs are well coated.
Take the thighs out of the oven and serve up with quinoa and salad.
