Our Chickens are naturally lean, due to spending the majority of their lives outdoors roaming free. This active lifestyle and being well exercised is what makes our Chickens low in fat. The access to fresh pastures, organic feed, fresh air and natural surroundings are what we believe makes the differnce to our meat.
We tray wrap all our whole Organic Chickens, which are oven ready. We hand pluck and prepare all our birds, with giblets included. Ideal for making a tasty Chicken gravy. If you do not wish to have your giblets that’s no problem! Just leave a comment in the ‘order notes’ box at the checkout. Note: Weights displayed are minimum only.

How we recommend cooking
Take the product out of the fridge and allow to come up to room temperature for 30 minutes
Pre-heat the oven to 245c/gas 9
Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and season to taste with salt and pepper. Rub the seasoning all over the bird. For added flavour add garlic bulbs and rosemary sprigs or thyme leaves and lemon wedges to the roasting pan with the chicken.
Put the chicken in the oven and reduce the heat down to 200c/gas 6 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
To ensure extra crisp chicken skin, baste the chicken thoroughly whilst cooking.
Rest your chicken for 20 minutes before carving.
